Due to over 20 inches of rain in and around the southern Louisiana area, over 90% of the homes have now suffered damage due to flooding. This has been labeled as one of the worst disasters since Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Kathi Ivey, a Baton Rouge resident, has worked with local Destin and Fort Walton Beach businesses to help make a difference in the flood relief. As communities and businesses band together, among the businesses is 654Limo, who offered a bus and a driver to transport the donated items to Louisiana. If you are interested in donating items, please drop them off at the Hampton Inn on Okaloosa Island. Among the items in need are work gloves, storage containers, clothes, food and water.
