The Beach Bus Philosophy

Our Beach Bus initiative is the establishment of an esthetical appropriate, comprehensive long-term shuttle service for the Emerald Coast. The service will follow a regular schedule that will provide daily convenient transportation for tourists, locals and employees.

The primary objectives of the Beach Bus are; to reduce private vehicle use for the beach, assist with the limited parking issues that exist, be a proactive leader/problem solver regarding transportation for the continued and projected growth of this dynamic area and to enhance mobility options for residents and visitors all while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of this coastal community.

We believe that an efficient shuttle service is the single most effective way to reduce the transportation issues that plague this area, reduce bike and pedestrian accidents, enhance the tourist and living experience and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as we practice being responsible stewards of our community.

This service has the greatest potential to get car-owners to leave their car at home, or parked at their temporary residence, and for others to avoid calling for a ride home from the many villages or restaurants / bars.

The Beach Bus operates East to the Grand Boulevard area, and West top the Harborwalk Village area. With approximately 15 stops (including multiple public beach access) to transport visitors from one beach community to another, allowing them to explore and enjoy all of the amazing businesses and venues that the Emerald Coast has to offer without causing additional traffic, possible accidents and DUI or other police required actions.

This service operates from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours of operation are between 10 am–10 pm, seven days a week.

Ridership will be actively promoted and recorded to ensure that guest experience is being achieved.
